More drabblebending!

Fandom: Avatar
Character: Sokka
Prompt: calender
Warnings: it's sad

It had turned into a ritual for him. Sokka was sure to keep a calender with him at all times. It was a small one, small enough to keep in a pocket. Every once in a while, he'd take it out and check. He never missed a full moon. Ever.

As the sun set, hiding behind the distant horizon, and the moon showed it's whole face, he gazed up at it, ignoring the twinkling stars. They were nothing but jewels, decorating the space around the bright, beautiful moon. It was a brief moment, the only moment he took to reflect, but it was enough. Yue would always be in his heart, but that was all she could be anymore.

Fandom: Avatar
Character: Aang
Prompt: disconnected
Warnings: nothing, really.

Aang, upon being found in the ice, had a hard time adjusting. A hundred years had passed in the time he'd been shut away. He tried to make the best of it, but there were times when he was reminded of the time difference. The state of the world hadn't changed much, but small, cultural differences really stuck out.

It wasn't until he realized that, had he not been trapped in ice for a hundred years, he would have been old enough to be Katara's great grandfather that he finally, truely gave up on her. It would have never been accepted a hundred years before, and certainly wouldn't be now.

Sokka's was so sad, but so good.
And the second felt really in character on Aang's part. ^.^
